The Two-Roll, Low-Profile Surface Winder is an essential component in your finishing range, which is commonly used for winding webs into large rolls. Depending upon the material, this winder can handle rolls up to 48" in diameter, while power doffing the full roll. Similar in operation to our standard Two-Roll Surface Winder, the Low-Profile Surface Winder is a heavier-duty winder with the capacity

Standard Features:

Formed carbon steel construction with rigid cross-bracing for added strength.
Sheet metal enclosures with hinged doors on both sides.
Two rubber-wrapped rolls on winding arms with speed differential for tight packages.
Adjustable tube guides to handle a variety of widths.
Power doffing package.
Pneumatic clutch on packing roll for controlling firmness of the finished roll.
Electrical control panel with switches for all operating functions.

NOTE: ALL MENZEL TWO-ROLL, LOW-PROFILE SURFACE WINDERS ARE FULLY ASSEMBLED AND TESTED PRIOR TO DELIVERY

Optional Features:

Guidance system with photo-electric sensor and hydraulic actuator to keep web straight during winding process.
Polyband® Expander or bow roll for removal of wrinkles and creases.
Adjustable speed drive with linear acceleration/deceleration, isolation transformer and control station.
Variety of slitting assemblies including score cut, shear cut, razor cut, and hot knife.
Oscillating Roll to eliminate selvage build-up.
