The Menzel Centerwinder is hte most rugged portable, self-contained, hydraulic center-winding device on the market. It is most commonly used to wind large batches onto A-Frames, but is also used for other winding and drive applications. It can be equipped with a variety of interchangeable hydraulic motors offering a wide range of speeds and tension controls. The pump and motor for each Menzel Portable A-Frame Centerwinder is matched to perform to exact specifications supplied by the customer. And should these specs change, simply switch hydraulic motors. To operate the Menzel Centerwinder, plug the hydraulic motor into the centerwind coupling on the A-frame and start the electric motor. It's as simple as that.

Standard Features:

Variable volume vane pump comes with a pressure compensator, preset at the factory to the maximum recommended operating pressure of 850 PSI.
7 1/2 HP, 1750 RPM electric motor is standard, with voltage characteristics to be specified by the customer.
One of several interchangeable sizes of hydraulic motors is supplied, determined by customer specifications and operating conditions.
Web tension is set by adjusting the pump pressure. Speed will change automatically to synchronize with the web speed and will even operate at stall speed for short periods of time.
41 gallon capacity hydraulic oil tank comes with sight glass for easy reading of oil level.
Standard hydraulic hoses are 80" long.
Wheels are provided allowing portability and part time use at more than one location.

Optional Features:

Speed control valves are available on all centerwinders, allowing speed to be changed by a simple turn of a knob. These control devices are normally on the end frame, but can be mounted on a dancer roll or compensator which offers a closed-loop system for automatic speed control.
Longer sections of hydraulic hose can be provided, if necessary
